mites and lice prevention?

Hi, i’m currently staying awake as i am sooooo stressed because i don’t want my guinea pigs to get hay mites or any type of parasites again, is there a way to prevent any of these coming back and could hay mites kill a guinea pig? have any of you had problems with these

There is nothing you can do to prevent them as far as I’m aware. And you also can’t do preventative treatment as that could lead to the medicine not working when needed - parasites becoming immune to treatment.
