Junior Guinea Pig
I have a four year old female spayed piggie who is balding on her legs and neck. On her legs are little scab looking things. She also has scab looking things where her back legs meet the main body. On friday night, march 2nd, I notice she was bald from about the end of her head to about an inch (2.54cm) after her front legs. The part below her front legs also has a few scabs.
She is the dominant pig and fluffs herself up often. She lives with another piggie who is a 5 year old female spayed pig. The five year old pig has no scabs or bald spots. The four year old pig is slightly smaller.
Is there a way to tell the difference between Fungal vs Mites?
I am also wondering if there is a home treatment for fungal or mites?
Or if you know what meds you need can you get them from a site like 1800petmeds?
Thanks!
Sorry for the long post.
