Mites?

My boar is scratching more than usual. I can't see anything on him. Is it the right time of year for mites? Thought it a bit late now? His male friend recently died and I'm wondering if it may be stress as he's lonely? Advice appreciated :-)
 
My guinea pig has been fighting mites for months and they still won't go! Although it's ear mites atm. So sorry to here about your pig:(
 
I dont think there is really a time of year for mites, but its probably best to pop him off to the vet. If it is mites treatment is fairly simple. :)
