I found a creepy crawly on my 11 week old Patch. I also spotted a few baby ones. are these mites? he itches a little and have noticed my 6 month old Fudge who he shares a cage with scratching too. but their skin is fine, no patches or anything?

Can i treat these with anything from the shops or do i have to get all four boys (the other 2 share and all four are divided by a row of grids but they touch noses and their bellies touch when both stand up against cages etc?) treated by the vets?

Thanks for advice

I would treat all your piggies and disinfect your cages. If need be throw out the batch of hay they you are currently on, mites are often caught from hay. You can usually successfully treat piggies for mites with a dose of ivermectin on the back of there neck. Something like Xeno is suitable, which is available online. sometimes three doses (10 days apart) may be needed if the infestation is bad.
