Hi everyone,
My girl has a honking breath that’s been going on for the past three hours. I think it might have been stress-induced, but even now that she’s relaxed and eating, it hasn’t gone away. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, last time she was prescribed antibiotics and Metacam, and it cleared up. I’ll be calling my vet tomorrow morning, of course, but last time, giving her some Metacam I had on hand before seeing the vet seemed to help.
Her tummy has also been acting up, and she’s currently on Cerenia.
I can’t find any information on giving Cerenia and Metacam at the same time. Has anyone had experience mixing the two? I’ve asked a vet friend (not currently working with pets), and she said there isn’t a contraindication, but I just wanted to double-check with experienced guinea pig owners.
If no one has experience with it (which would be understandable, there isn't any research on it), what would you do in my case? I know it's a heavy question, I just want to do what's best by her, and I don't have the insight/experience most people here do. I think it's best I decide on what to do tonight.
Thanks in advance!
