You were surrendered to the rescue (where I volunteer) at 4 years old, I went home that night and broke my heart. I never understood why you were given up at 4 years old. People kept overlooking you and Mango due to your ages. So I took you home to foster. We all fell in love and you stayed. You never stopped popcorning, it started the minute you came home, you were so happy. I’m so sad you had to go so soon I tried everything to help you but it wasn’t enough. I will miss you so so much, even though you were only with us such a short time you made a big impact and I will never forget you. I will look after Mango for you till you meet again. Sleep tight little man. Hope there’s lots of tasty pea flakes at rainbow bridge for you. x

RIP Mojito

How is little Mango doing?

How is little Mango doing?
It was heartbreaking yesterday (the day mojito passed) I went to pet Mango and Mango screamed (never heard a piggie make a noise like it) then ran and hid. I left Mojito in the cage a while after he passed so Mango would know what happened. I was so so scared to go in the piggie room this morning. However he seems ok today. A bit lost but that’s expected. My mother in law was checking in on him throughout the day today as I’m away at work a lot this week. Hubby even petted Mango today. We are all so so devastated, I can’t believe how badly it’s affected me as we only had him home 6 weeks.

Awww I am sorry, that can't have been nice for you.

It sounds like he has accepted it, leaving the body in is really hard but really helps I think. It is the strength of the bond and love not time spent. He was very lucky to gave been with you and your husband. Sending hugs x

I am so sorry that you lost your handsome boy so soon and hope Mango recovers from losing him so soon too.
I took on a 7 year old piggy and only had her 6 months but we've got to keep in our minds that the time with us although short was possibly the best in their lives.xx

So sad that Mojito has died. Why people give piggies up is . . . well theirs hundreds of reasons but I rather people do to a centre where at least people will do everything to give them more love and eventually a home. . . You did and that's a beautiful thing to do. Well Done.
Popcorn free little one. xx

It’s heartbreaking that an older pair of piggies were surrendered, but I’m glad you managed to give Mango and Mojito such a happy home even if only for a short time. Popcorn free Mojito. Hugs to you and Mango x
