Anyone use this:
http://www.horsehage.co.uk/MC-Herbal.html

I need to get some more hay sometime in the next few weeks and the one I got last time was really dusty.
I asked the local horse shop if they do any dust free meadow and/or timothy hay and they said they could get me horsehage in.
So could I feed them
Dust free Mollichaff Herbal (which contains a balanced mixture of Garlic, Mint, Rosemary and Golden Rod)
Dust free timothy hay (http://www.horsehage.co.uk/HH-Timothy.html)
and Readigrass
or is it too much for them? :-\

Luckily i'm also able to get dust free meadow hay! :smitten:

I think others on here feed Readigrass, I use GrazeOn which is about £6-£7 a huge bale (bagged). It's ok as feed but not to nestle in.

I haven't used any of the others but I think I've read that Timothy Hay is ok to use? Hopefully someone can confirm!

I use Readigrass, definitely not good to nestle in as its really short strands ::)

Timothy hay or Readigrass is fine to use but I've not heard of the Mollichaff Herbal - don't think gps are supposed to have garlic though as it is from the onion family and onions are poisonous to them. Not sure about this so maybe someone else can say for definite.

Sorry didn't put it clearly, I mean't all that stuff to feed.
They sleep in meadow hay :)
I feed them readigrass already and herbage excel but I was thinking about using mollichaff instead of herbage (as herbage excel is quite expensive every week for 12 pigs)
The garlic sounds a bit strange so I think i'll give it a miss :)

I know what you mean Sophie, I'm finding Herbage ok but my last couple of bags have been not the best and a bit bitty!

I thought garlic was a no no because it was from the onion family?

I just looked at the food shopping list on here and it lists garlic under the foods to avoid but it does state "not poisonous".

Thanks Black_Jack! :)

Hmmm I'm not sure what to do now lol. Not unless I buy it but give them very small amounts?!

Personally I wouldn't risk the one with garlic - if in doubt leave it out! ;D but would give the others on the list.
