Hey all!

So my last thread got deleted for some reason, which is lovely seeing as so many people were following it for updates on his condition.

So here I am, updating those of you who were interested in my little 'un and may catch this..

Monty stayed with Pebble for a week, saw her vets a few times and was cleared to come home on Wednesday awaiting further test results (but in much better shape than he was two weeks ago)
so, it has been confirmed that he is in fact blind in one eye for sure, and may have slight vision in the other eye. he is still wobbly and developed a major head tilt for a few days that has in fact almost completely disappeared now! he can now walk in a straight line, albeit with a head wobble as he sniffs out his line, almost like a white stick hah!
Turns out it ISN'T E. Caniculi so he's still proving to be difficult but is much happier to be back with Hector, even though he can't run around like him.

Med's seem to perk him up, although he is a nightmare to medicate! what a struggler, and he has learnt that little bits of cucumber may be nice but always seem to mean bad things a-coming.

so yes, hes still alive (which actually surprises me) and pop corning occasionally....

Just thought i'd let you all know :)

Liscia

It is great that Monty is so much better in himself! thanks for the update.

Hi and thanks for the update , what a promesing start to the day

Thank you for the update, glad Monty is doing OK and the reunion with Hector went well. I have been wondering about him.

Good afternoon all,

We finally got the lab results back and have our answer. It seems the issue all along was an ear infection that may have crossed in to the brain.

He's been on baytril for just over a week now and this morning there have been considerable improvements.

The boys are currently running (yes, running) around my living room. Both are popcorning and wheeking so everyone appears to be happy today

Today is a good day

That's great news! Glad Monty is doing well! I was following the other thread like you said and when I couldn't find it I assumed the worse! But this is brilliant news! So glad he's getting there! :D

Good luck Monty keep it up :)

At least the lab results can give u a proper diagnosis to know what you're dealing with :)

Continuing healing vibes from the girls &I

Xx

:yahoo: Hooray! So glad to hear that the lovely Monty is on the up-and-up! Long may it continue. :tu::tu: Well done to all concerned!
