Hi guys
Just wondering for some advice ! In the last year monty has for some reason had a limping front paw.
This has happened 3 times in last year and we still don’t know why it happens. We’ve been to vet every time and they just prescribe us with metacam and it’s normally got back to normal with in a week. However it’s coming to a week end and he’s still not right . He can’t put too much pressure on his left front poor.

the vets still didn’t know what the issue is.
they said if it still isn’t right theymight give him X-ray next time.
Can you buy meta cam anywhere without a prescription? As we know this works , and the vet always tell us to come in so they can check ( but it’s a lot of money for them to tell us nothing and prescribe metacam)

many help ! Would be appreciated as to why you think he limps or where to get metacam from ! 🥰🥰

many thanks
Stuart

Thanks ! It’s strange because you move his paw around and he doesn’t look in pain .....
but he’s still limping around
And the fact that it happens randomly is so strange !

Perhaps if it's a recurring problem and you have a good understanding with the vet they might prescribe a bigger batch that you only dib into as needed?
Is his paw pad swollen or red? Or do you think it's something more internal - like arthritis (although why this should only affect one paw I don't know!)

Hi!

Please be aware that the problem can sit in any of the joints up the leg right up to the spine. It is likely that a wrong movement is aggravating any existing and not fully healed sprain again.

Metacam is a prescription-only medication (POM) and not freely available in the UK.
