An alternative to metacom that isn't a prescription medicine would be children's Neurofen (or another children's ibuprofen), which is also an NSAID. The dose the CCT recommend is 0.2ml, twice daily. If you are using old medicine, you should check that it is still in date.

Please do not advise using over the counter pain relief. As a forum we do not promote self medicating and always advise seeking proper veterinary advice.

Mooli is at the vets having an xray. He is still bleeding when he wees. I am really hoping he does not have a stone. He is not appearing to be in any pain but you can never be sure they are not hiding it well.

Hope all goes ok a the vets, it is good that he is having an xray as it should hopefully put your mind at rest a bit.

Hope all works out okay, we're not having a very good Friday are we hun with two of our babies at the vets today? Healing vibes for Mooli. x

Mooli xray was clear. He has a mild infection. They did a swab test and urine infection. They have given him more baytril and we will give him loxicom. It explains why he is not in pain as the infection is mild.

Thank you all so much for the support.

I am so pleased there isn't anything more sinister going on.

Hopefully the baytril will do the trick but if the infection hasn't cleared up within another week, see if your vet will prescribe you with Septrin.
