I took in 4 more piggies yesterday. There is a woman who lives on the same street as my mum who (up until yesterday) had piggies. She had a texel boar who she wanted to rehome as she wasn't breeding him anymore so I was told about him and said I'd take him. Then yesterday I was told she had 4 more pigs that needed rehoming and she said I could have them as she knew they'd be looked after. They were her last 4 pigs and she has had to rehome them as she has developed an allergy to them. There is a lovely, friendly orange & white abbysinian boar, a peruvian sow, an orange & white smooth haired sow and a P/E white sow. After being treated with Ivomec the boar went in his own cage and the sows went in the big sow pen. It all kicked off in the sow pen however with piggies flying everywhere. I've left them to it though, they will sort it out amongst themselves and the cage is 13ft long so they have plenty of room to keep out of each others way till they settle down.

How on earth are you going to cope!

I love the sound of the orange and white Abyssinian boar, I've always wanted an Abyssinian!

He's a lovely big lad. He doesn't have the correct amount of rosettes but that doesn't matter as he won't be shown, he'll just live his days happy with me :). Abby boars do have a character all of their own lol, you should see them at shows, if theres any pigs rumblestrutting around the judges table you can usually guarantee its randy abby boars ;D
