More hot UK weather on the way!

Thunderstorms here too last night. The curtains are drawn and shaded windows open. It’s 25 degrees indoors. Piggies seem ok eating, drinking and weeing ok. Should I be doing anything else? They seem fine just concerned that others are doing damp towels etc .
It is hotter than that in our (totally shaded) living room, but I think that the damp towels, ice pods and frozen bottles are keeping their area cooler. (I keep lowering my head to their level to check, as well as prodding them if they look too stretched out!) I didn't have damp towels over them yesterday and they were ok, but it wasn't as hot as it is now.

We had a thunderstorm last night but if anything but seems to have made things worse! It got very hot very quick this morning the boys had no chance to go out in the run while it was cool because it wasn't cool! 😔 Me and the piggies are sheltering in the living room. They've got a damp towel over the cage, a damp tea towel over the willow bridge and cool water.
Yes, it was similar here this morning. The air cleared after the storm, I could see the stars, which probably let some heat out. But then it was still clear first thing so the sun got going on heating everything as soon as it was up 🥵 We've just (5pm) had a brief downpour and thunder etc.
Forecast says it's going to be v hot into the weekend ...

This heat is ridiculous and I absolutely hate it with a passion, all my time is going into cooling the rats and pigs down as soon as I get home, the pigs are actually coping better than the rats. But both are fine

About half-an-hour ago, I put the hutch thermometer into their run in the sitting room. It is now climbing to 29 degrees in the sitting room, but in their run beneath the damp towels it is under 24 degrees, and the reading is still dropping! Thunderstorm has just hit us ⛈

We had a few spots earlier and now there's a wall of grey cloud and rumbles in the distance. I've seen a few lighting flashes too. I hope it comes overhead it might clear the air a bit this time

30 minutes in Northampton until about 6 hours of storm come. We've had a little one with loads of wind, cooled the air but now it's back to normal again

We've had a little rain earlier buts it's stopped now. I'm so hot, the pigs seem to be doing OK luckily. I've resorted to wetting a pair of socks under the tap and ringing them out and then putting them on to help me sleep these last couple of nights. It does actually help. Apparently if your feet are cooled then it cools your body down. My feet feel like they're on fire a lot of the time lol

One of the girls keeps ignoring the cool packs, the other keeps climbing on them. I'm not sure whether she likes the cold or the higher position :D

They're getting annoyed because I keep checking on them, though...

Fortunately our piggy room seems to be the coolest room in the house.
It never gets any direct sun.
I have still been putting in freezer blocks wrapped in tea towels in the cage - all carefully ignored by piggies.
