my dominant boar Patches is currently on a course of Baytril for a suspected UTI (he had pink wee and was squeaking whilst peeing the other day). he lives with his friend bubbles and has done for the last 4 years or so, they get on really well.

Since starting his antibiotics I've seen Patches humping Bubbles more than ever before, :{ several times in just a few minutes compared with once or twice a week previously. I'm just wondering if the two things could be connected or is it just co-incidence? Anyone else seen this change whilst on antibiotics? Could it be that he's feeling much better and re-asserting his dominance? There's no other signs of agression at all, I still find the 2 boys cuddled up together.

Any ideas?

i have not heard of a connection betwwen antibiotics and humping before! but like you i think it most likely a sign he is feeling better and wanting to remind bubble who is in charge.
