Junior Guinea Pig
Hello!
I am in need of some guinea pig community opinions!
I hand made all my fleece bedding RIGHT before JoAnn's Fabrics closed (US Based), and am so wishing I'd stocked up on more fleece. I'm wondering if anyone uses slightly more plush blankets as a base? This is exactly what I'm thinking of - https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1944597/the-big-one-super-soft-plush-throw.jsp?skuid=71413924
Still pretty low pile, but I'm not sure if the wicking and cleaning would be terrible or if there's other things I'm not considering.
Secondly - I crochet and love the idea of making some nice cozies for my pigs. I know there's definitely concerns of caught nails or ingestion of thread, but I'm thinking that this yarn with tight stitches would be extremely similar to those chenille bath mats that have become so popular for piggy cages. No loose ends to munch on, and no snags for little nails. Thoughts?
Thank you
