Hey again guys, I'm being a worrier again and need to ask another poop related question, lol. Gremlin had a gassy episode last week and he seems completely back to normal now, however, with me watching him like a hawk of recent, including extra exercise and more cuddles, I've noticed that sometimes, when he poops, they get caught in between his, quite honestly, massive testicles. Could this be an early indicator of impaction, is it normal? or is it something to worry about? Thankyou

Hey, sorry don't have boys. Could be erm.... his massive Dangleberries getting in the way lol

Hopefully a boar owner will be along soon.

Impaction is when they can't go & there is a build up on poop inside that you have to get out, I think it's painful. I wouldn't worry about him getting poop in his testicles, just make sure you keep him clean. If he does get really mucky, just give him a bum bath. It's better for you piggy, that you worry rather than not.

Forgot to say a gassy episode can be caused by some veg, or too much grass

Yeah, he was having kale and broccoli so I thought it was down to those, luckilly my dad's thinned his carrots out so there's loads of fresh baby carrots and cucumbers for him instead...... A happy piggie

Curly kale can be one of them, yet it's one veg mine eat a lot of. Just depends on the piggy

Yeah, I know they can be fussy, all 3 of mine have been completely different eaters.

It is certainly not yet at a stage where you need to worry. Big testicles create large bags, so it is easier to pass several poos at once, but even my older neutered boars without any treasure chests do it.
