Rocket is in for a G.A today to have an abscess on the top of his head drained ( Vicki will also use this opportunity to have a really good look down his ears). After 7 months of vets trips I am now completely frazzled, lots of positive vibes for our chunky monkey please. I am so hoping the second half of this year is vet free. :laluot_11:

Bless you! Paws crossed here to! :(|)

paws, eyes and fingers all crossed!

Paws crossed Rocket! Bingo feels for you. His ear is no longer leaking pus so he appears to be improving. Sending some of his healing vibes to you.

It is really hard having a piggy sick for so long. (As I well know with Bingo!)

Keep us updated on how things go.

Gee! I thought 2 months were bad.... sending healing vibes XX

It's not all been for the same piggie. The last few months it's been Rocket and before that it was Wally Whiskers (r.i.p) 8... and our darling Mr Fluffy Bum aka Yoshi (r.i.p)8... Hence me being completely frazzled and emotionally drained.

Thanks everyone, will be phoning the vets in an hour. Keep everything crossed. x

fingers and paws all crossed for darling rocket xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

come on little rocket xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh, so many...8...

It has been all Bingo for six months with us. I'm starting to think the vet could retire on his visits alone.

It is hard to believe these little piggies can cause so much heart ache and trouble. I had a little breakdown a few days ago (Thanks to piggyfan for talking to me and calming me down) because it all gets a bit much.

I'm here if you need a chat.

Thanks hun, (((((hugs))))). I know how stressful it can be. Either with one or one after the other or more than one at once ( Yoshi & Wally). What really helps is knowing there are always people here who know what you're going through. We're all here for one another. x

Right, we're back. It took him a while to shake of the G.A. He's full of beans since going back in with the girls and having some parsley, although still quite cross with us hoomans ( I have been "tsk"ed at rather a lot). Poor boy looks like a monk, think we'll have to start calling him Brother Rocket until his hair grows back. Vicki did give me prior warning before opening the basket saying " Hmmm...he does look rather silly" :x
Looks like Vicki has got all of it out, ( if it starts oozing a lot then I'll seperate him but it's clean at the mo and he's a lot perkier with company) she said it was quite fluid which is apparently a good thing ( as opposed to the cottage cheese variety of abscess expulsions :)>>>). We've got to try and keep the hole open tonight and flush it with Hibiscrub.
She had a good look down his ears with the otoscope ( I think that's what it's called) and apparently his one ear is STILL full of gunk. mallethead
So we've decided to bring in the big guns, he's on zithro max now. 14 days then a check up and at least another 14 to 28 days of it probably.

I SO hope he's feeling all better SOON! :laluot_11:

Poor Rocket, lots of healing vibes to him and hugs to you.. All fingers and paws crossed for a fast recovery x

Poor Rocket! I hope that the zithro-max is doing the trick!

Oh little man. He has been through so much. Thank goodness the procedure went well. I am so curious to see his hair! Sorry. :x

Hee hee, I have taken a pigture, will try and get it online tomorrow. All I can say is it's a good thing piggies don't have brilliant eyesight, Rocket would not have been very happy if the first thing the girls did when they saw him was roll around the floor laughing, poor boy.;)

Brother Rocket

Here you go Piggyfan, *Brother Rocket*
