Awww Wilfred! I'm so glad you're posting lots of pics of him, he's such a sweetie and seems like a real character! I had no idea they could eat Quinoa

What a beautiful hamster. I remember when my hamsters used to stuff their bedding in their pouches and put it right by the wheel, so the wheel was unusable lol x

What a lovely Hammie. He really suits his name. I love the pic of him nesting by his wheel. x)

He reminds me of a certain little lady of mine:

he is totally adorable, he looks ever so friendly too.

I had the treat of my life last night when Joyce actually came out to play for 2 1/2 hours before i went out to bed, she was proper funny!

Whats quinoa, please?

Gorgeous little guy x) So glad he is settling in!

Quinoa is a grain - good for protein and not as starchy as rice - more a fine light cous cous type thing! I'm not very good at cooking it but my Mum is - very bland on it's own but I jazz it up with spices/veggies/beans etc.
Wilfred seems to love it and he had some plain tofu which he enjoyed too - am trying things in tiny amounts to see what he likes/suits him.
I'm on the lookout for a good nest box for him but he's claimed the spot by his wheel!

Mine built their nests next to their wheels in the zoozone and its the same wheels too!

I changed to these

Its a 33cm flying saucer which is actually silent once the base is taped down, there are no 8 inch wheels that are silent but that wheel you have and I had is awful its stupidly loud! The flying saucer is great and my hammy gets under it and around it so it does really take up that much room :-)

if you have the zoozone 2 you can fit a 12 inch silent spinner in (just!) but the zoozone 1 fits almost nothing! wodent wheels get a good review but ive never tried them

Thanks that's like Dudleys my Chinese hamsters wheel but his is a small one, totally silent. I was thinking of trying a wodent wheel. It's a ZZ1 so limited on height. So many out there and I'm going to find a quiet one hopefully!

Mine are zz1 the flying saucer is amazing, my chinese has the 6.5 inch one too theyre great I think they are better than the silent spinners!
