Just popped in today and a packs of 4 huge braeburn apples - quite a large bag of carrots - pack of 4 conference pears all 30 p - also onions and some other things the cashier told me.- no one seems to have cheap peppers at the moment though:0

I got 2 bags of 4 peppers at Tesco last night, reduced to about 70p. They're big ones too tee hee! I find Tesco often have a lot of cheap fruit and veggies. I always go and stock up on things that will last a couple of days and put them in my 'spare' fridge aka pig fridge!

I always think of you when I'm buying my veggie bargains! ASDA had some huge tenderheart cabbages last week. Not on special offer, but so big that you didn't need that many. I bought some cucumbers in Lidl last week, too. ASDA smartprice peppers can be very good. For some reason after Christmas the bags were full of red peppers which was great! They are sold by weight, so you get lots of smaller peppers. The colours are pot luck, though, and you usually get a lot of greens.

My best buy this week was bunches of roses from the Co-op reduced after valentines day from £5 to £1.25. When the flowers are over I can dry the petals and feed them to my chinchillas and rabbits.

I went into morrisons this morning only because they had the 6 pack of muller light on offer at half price and their own brand of peanut butter is only 62p a jar - sod paying £1.98 for sunpat - then went back to get some more in the evening - they had a punnetts of strawberries for 29p - really good as well - not mushy or anything - so have eaten 2 punnets with a chocolate sprinkle muller light on - feel sick now though - and piggies turned their noses up at the pears and strawberries!

ASDA smartprice peppers

I get these, normally works out at 5-6 peppers for about £1.50.

Somehow though, I end up eating these icky green ones and the pigs get nice orange and yellow and red ones for nearly £1 a pop each rolleyes
