Moses and Miriam

It’s hard to believe but Moses and Miriam have now been here for 1 year.
5th September 2024 saw me driving to The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue to collect them.
They have blossomed into happy, confident and chunky piggies.
They no longer spend all their time in hiding together.
They have voices too.

They may never like being handled or petted but they bring joy to our home.
Happy Gotcha Day my little treasures 🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒🥒

Happy gotcha Day.

Mine don't like being handled, either, but I like watching them.

Hello forum friends.
We’re still here even though our slaves abandoned us. They went on holiday and left a friend to look after us.
We were very good for our new aunty and she fed us so we were happy.
When the slaves came back they brought us a present of Bermudan paper bags 😁

I was very good today and let slave take my photo, Miriam was too busy eating to cooperate.

Love from Moses & Miriam

A funny story : my mum always called a Moses basket a mosey basket. Whenever me or my two sisters say mosey basket my dad shouts “it not a mosey basket! His name was Moses”.

Mum has dementia and this is a happy memory of her. 😍

This is me looking after Miriam while our cage is cleaned out

Back in the cage. See how my fur looks silver in the light 😊

Our slave was very pleased with our weights today although I insisted on going in my paper bag to be weighed.
I’ve been busy rumbling at Miriam today, even though she stole my breakfast leaf.

Love from Moses

Moses, you're such a caring considerate boy!
Of course you used your paper bag🛍️ Do you think your Slave finds that strange? I mean she brings you new ones specially, even from exotic holiday locations. Just imagine if you didn't use them, she might feel that you were spurning her present and her good intentions.
Love from Mrs Tiggy Winkle 🦔

Cage cleaning day today.
The paper bag had been completely trashed and has been replaced.
Piggies happily popcorned around the clean cage and began the process of rearranging the furniture and the hay.
Fleece house and hay suitably flattened.
