What to do with a hay cookie by Moses and Miriam.
Hay cookies are meant to be moved all around the cage so they crumble evenly.
It’s also a good plan to take one into a fleece hidey and ensure that it is well crumbled in the hidey.
This ensures a new, clean fleece hidey

Herman wheeks, don’t forget to destroy the hay cookie as quickly as possible in hope of getting a new one. ( It doesn’t work he usually has to wait longer!)What to do with a hay cookie by Moses and Miriam.

Wally wheeks, make the hay cookie last as long as possible for maximum mess, and annoying your neighbour who’s already finished his!
Human adds….. the day before clean out day is the perfect time for hay cookie destroying!

It’s worse than spilling a small jug of milk !I can’t believe how much mess one hay cookie makes.

We would like to report complete success in training daddy slave.
Our slave bought some small corn cobs. We were given one each - yummy
When she cooked the others for help daddy slave asked if she had already given us some.

Moses - mummy tried to poison us today. Please help.
Miriam - don’t be silly Moses. Blueberries are yummy. I’ll eat yours.
Tried them with a blueberry each as a treat.
Miriam inhaled hers. Moses took one tiny nibble and dropped it.
I suspect Miriam had his before he had a chance to try again

Checking out the newly cleaned cage.
Furniture rearranged while I was clearing up afterwards !
Need to order more hay
Unfortunately the new bag was slightly damp and didn’t smell very nice.
It’s the first time I’ve had a duff bag from Hay & Straw company so I can’t complain.
It happens.
Have also just ordered some treats for them - the hay cube is nearly destroyed so they’re getting a new one and a carrot cottage plus some forage.
