There is nothing wrong with a larger lady. There is more of them to love! I've sent you both a wheekmail in how to deal with this very rude Hooman of yours. Dear Sir Saxon,
You are too young to remember the stunningly beautiful super model Keziah.
She, too, was a large lady and proudly defended the glory of larger ladies.
Calling Miriam a chonk is not rudeness, it’s a compliment echoing back to Keziah. Like Keziah, Miriam is incredibly beautiful 🤩

You can wrap it up and call it what you want but being called "a chonk" is highly rude and not at all complimentary. Keziah was indeed a beautiful guinea pig. She was a larger lady too but she wasn't "a chonk" either just well rounded.

Mummy - we are going to be out all day so here is coriander for your midday snack.
Piggies - munch, munch, munch…

5:30pm - Piggies - where have you been ? We are starving and fading away to nothing.
Mummy - you have a mountain of hay and here’s a plateful of veggies for you.

Lovely tunnel! I thought it had a zip at the top to make the inside easy to brush, but I looked more closely and I think it’s a seam! Selwyn loves his fleece tunnel but I cannot effectively get all the hair out before washing it.

It’s a velcro fastening so it’s easy to clean

We have haypoke

Miriam has haypoke so we ended up at the vet yesterday afternoon.
She now has eye drops and Metacam.
I had intended to take Moses along too as paw holder but he was sound asleep under a pile of hay. He didn’t move as Miriam played Catch me if you can, or when I put some lettuce in the cage for him so it ended up just Miriam being taken.

I wonder what went through his little head when he finally woke up and Miriam wasn’t there. 😁

The green dye made her look like an alien 👽 piggy 😅

She has been so good , especially when the Metacam syringe is offered.
 
Poor Miriam. I hope it clears up nice and quickly. It’s nearly worth it for the metacam.
 
Hope sweetie Miriam makes a speedy recovery - it’s amazing how quickly their eyes start to heal.

New hay order arrived this morning.
I ordered this on Wednesday. We have 6 bags each of Meadow hay and Ings hay.
Some of it looks a bit brown but mostly lovely and green.

This should do us for a few months

Apparently Hay and Straw Company drivers are getting quite a few of these bigger orders because of the probable hay shortage and poorer quality due to the heatwaves
