Moses and Miriam

We have a house guest. Her name is Honey and she’s staying in her cage next to ours.
Mummy says we have to be extra nice as Honey’s cagemate passed away a few days ago.
I’ve rumbled at her, I hope she noticed.
Miriam is still in sulky mode because of the eye drops, but I’m a very happy boy.
Love from Moses aka The Black Hole

That's such a lovely thing to do, taking Honey in and giving her some company.
I was taking both piggies as my friends are on holiday, but I’m happy that there is some company for Honey.
My friends are trying to find her a companion but keep being told that they can’t have a single piggy.

Do you think that Honey will become a permanent resident? Or won't Miriam like sharing Moses?
I don’t really want to take the risk of adding another piggy to Moses and Miriam given their history.
They have a very close bond.
Also, my friends love Honey and are trying to find her a companion.
It will be easier when they get back from holiday.
It’s less than 2 weeks since Blossom died

It’s lovely having visiting pigs. :luv:

I hope Honey enjoys her holiday, sorry to hear she’s recently lost her friend.

Hiya, not sure where your friends are based but we have had piggies from The Potato Patch GP Rescue in Doncaster. Hannah is usually very understanding and i'm sure would try and help find a new friend for Honey. They often have neutered boars for bonding with lone sows.

That’s useful to know Yvonne. Thanks.
I told them about Cavy Corner but didn’t know about The Pitato Patch.
We’re about an hour from Doncaster

Cage cleaning today. We had to wait in our basket

Checking out the cage to ensure it’s been cleaned out properly.
We don’t want old poops cluttering up the space we need for the new ones.

We’re not sure if we have enough hay !

Potato Patch have just reopened after being closed for a while so that they could move to a new house. They are in Belton. Hannah is a vet nurse and very knowledgeable about piggies.
Lorcan's piggies are from there too.

Miriam is thoroughly fed up of eye drops and refuses to come out of her taxi this afternoon. Poor girl, I think she’s had enough.
Just as well she's not Rainbow piggy Shy Little Meg then who had to have 3 lots of eye drops 3 times a day for 6 weeks!

Here's what Meg's eye was like. We saved the eye. Meg hated being picked up and she hated eye drops!

We see the vet tomorrow morning so hoping he’s going to sign Miriam off.
I’m just glad it wasn’t like Micah’s haypoke which took 6 weeks of eye drops and he was a very difficult piggy 🥹
Good luck 🤞🏻
