Deep cleaned the cage today so they have a mountain of fresh hay, forage and today’s pellets scattered around.
I love watching them explore and rearrange the furniture when they get the cage cleaned.
Moses wandered around popcorning. Miriam just moved from hay pile to hay pile munching happily.
They started working on the new paper bag.

Their room is quieter since Honey went home yesterday

Her family are now actively looking for a companion.
@YvonneBlue recommended a rescue near Doncaster so I passed that information on.
The difficulty is finding a single sow rather than a pair, or a neutered boar.
 
Moses and Miriam tried to persuade daddy that they hadn’t been given their afternoon veggies.
He came and checked and was told, yes they had been fed.
I gave in and gave them a piece of green bean each as I was preparing some for our meal.
Both happily took their piece from my fingers - 2 very happy piggies

All but one of my piggies came from the excellent rescue in Doncaster. I highly recommend it !

They have been in touch with Cavy Corner who apparently wouldn’t allow them to adopt a single pig, despite being told it was a companion for a newly bereaved piggy.
Apparently Potato Patch, recommended by @YvonneBlue are More open to that kind of situation.

No sign of Moses - he’s sound asleep under the hay
Miriam - Oh Moses, don’t you want your lettuce leaf ? I’ll eat it.
Moses - what’s going on. I dreamt there was a lettuce leaf. Where’s my lettuce leaf ?

You snooze you lose Moses 😢
 
He was awake by the time I got home and took up afternoon veggies.
He did a quick zoomie before going to his feeding place and tucked in happily.
Miriam decided that the red lettuce he had was better than the red lettuce she had so she turned round, stole his leaf then turned back to her veggie pile.
No wonder she’s such a chonk 😅
