Lmao, Mother. ;D I sound so posh. :)
We went to P@H and I was looking at the hamsters, rats, gerbils, rabbits.. annd GUINEA PIGS! Anyway, I saw this lovely boar, Well I think hes a boar. ? I feel in love with him, :smitten: anyway, I said to my mum how gorgeous he was, She still wasn't impressed I had enough money to get him a cage ect. Yet, mum was like no way, they smell and they will make to much mess. I said that I could use a fleece, and They're urine doesn't smell. Still not convinced. ::) Anyway, How big is a ferplast cage, Like in Nero size, anyway The GP that I saw was alone. I asked why and They said because he attacked all the others. So I thought what would happen if I got him? Would I have to give him extra attention? It's not like that would be awful. All I want to do is give them attention. He came right up to me when I was looking through the glass. He wasn't afraid. Hes lovely. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Hes was a lovely GP! :smitten: :smitten:

I call my mum mother and I'm not posh! ;D

What pets do you have? Could be that your mum may think you have enough for now. I thik a good way of starting is show you are mature enough to take on a pig. :)

3 Hamsters, I look after them excellent, Every month they get new knawing toys. They have special diet. I clean them out everyweek without fail. They get 15 minutes out of there cage 2 times a day.

EDIT: I forgot I pay for them all by myself because I hate it when anyone interferes don't know why.

There pee does smell but not a harsh smell.

As for cage sizes, don't get what you mean. Bother Nero and Ferplast make different sizes.

Ferplast Duna Guinea Pig Cage is smaller than a Nero 2

Ferplast 100 Tris Rabbit/Guinea Pig Cage is a bit bigger than a Nero 2 but not quite the size of a Nero 3 (I use to have two of these)

Ferplast Cavie 80 Guinea Pig Cage is about Nero 2 size if I remember correctly and is good as its plastic base has high sides so they cant kick hey / sawdust out very easily

Ferplast Cavie 15 Guine Pig is about Neo 2 maybe 3 size again (can't remember 100%)

If you were in Pets at Home I think they do the Ferplast 100 for about £34 if I remeber correctly. Thats where I got my two Ferplast 100 cages from

I'd get one guinea a ferplast 100 to give him extra room. If you can afford it, treat him! Although you don't have him yet...Maybe your mum thinks you'll get a guinea then neglect the hamsters, maybe you could ask her exactly why she won't let you have a guinea pig. (Apart from the slight smell when they haven't been cleaned out!) Maybe she doesn't want anymore animals living inside. I would never put a single gp outside but if you had 2 this would be ok.

Has she said no because you said you were too busy with homework and studies :-\

My mum was the same, when I was teenager - I think she thought she'd be left with them all once I left for uni, and guineas live longer than hamsters. I agree it's worth asking her...

My mum has said no to a new guinea pig and I wrote her a letter fromy my existing (girl) guinea pig asking for a boy pig and promising to look after it! It worked.

Good luck!

The length of the 100 at £34 and the Nero 3 is only 1cm in difference. The width of the 100 is bigger by an inch or two to the Nero 3.

I have both and the Nero 3 is £54 (ish) whereas the 100 is £20 cheaper.

No, I don't have an O'Level in cages....................

For you youngsters - an O Level was an exam we did back in the 1800's ha ha ha. Dunno your equivalent............. 98)

I hope you mean a boy with no boy bits! Don't want babies popping out LOL

i would say from reading this thread that you have a lot of growing up to do. my mother never wanted or loved me but i would never have called her posh she was always my mum! you seem to be only happy when you get your way. if you want a guinea pig prove to your mum you are serious, learn all you can, buy books, look after exsisting pets. and maybe your mum will change her mind. also before getting a guinea pig, make sure you have found a guinea pig savy vet available, first aid kit and cage and things and the room. i think you have to prove tyo your mum you are serious, responsible and respectful! good luck. :)
