As some of you read earlier in the week my boars choco and foxy had a little tiff we put this down to a new home and my older boar being next door as when i returned home part of chocos ear was missing but they were curled up together and there was no sign of a fight other than his ear. I removed my older boar from the room and kept a very close eye on them slept with my door open so i could hear any teeth chattering or rumbling and there was nothing, tonight however all hell broke loose i am unsure over what but fur flew everywhere pow-pow poor choco had chunks taken out of him but these were only surface wounds but foxy had him behind the ear so choco had no option but to to go for foxys eye it was awful thankfully the eye is ok :<> but he has had to have it stapled and is in shock the vet has given him antibiotics baytril and they both had a injection of anti bitoics i am keeping them in the warmth obviously side by side but leaving them be.

I hope my little foxy is ok 8...8... i am just so sad and feel like such a bad owner as they have been together for a year as brothers and both 1 years old and come to my house and fall out like this i had them in a big c & c type cage 12 x 4, 3 feed bowls, 3 water bottles,

Sorry for long post just so sad they cant be together anymore i now have 4 lone boars who i love dearly but why cant they just be nice i never bit my brothers ear off.

Thank you potteries guinea pig rescue especially Claire who i have rung nightly about these little scamps without the support of you guys think i would be having a break down right about now.

Oh golly gosh, you poor thing! That must have been awful to witness! :(

Hope Foxy is ok, sending him my healing vibes, and phew thank goodness his eye is ok! You are not a bad owner, you've done everything the right way! Naughty boars!

Oh no - so sorry you are having such boar trauma. Hope they start mending their wounds.
Don't call yourself a bad owner though - you obviously care for the boys very much. There are lots of people on here who have had to separate piggies after fighting to protect them and it is really hard but don't blame yourself.:)
