Don't know why I didn't realize it sooner , the fungal infection of Marge's eye and nose was probabaly
caused by a Bach of nature's own meadow hay. I just opened a new bag and I could smell the mould.

OUCH! Never pleasant and a real nuisance! :(

I guess that poor Marge is struggling a bit with her immune system anyway. Difficult to say whether the hay mould is the cause or not.

If you ever get mouldy hay either throw it away or take it back to your supplier so they know there's a problem. Stop giving it to your piggies straightaway as the spores may also be on the hay that looks OK x

I have seen the result of mouldy hay, a friend took photos of the bad hay and the resulting oral fungal plaque (the mould was at the bottom of the bag so could not be spottd at first.

I've have to be carful as it when i move it a mouldy smell fills the room
I have stored it in the spare room untill I can bin it in the morning ,
I am going to discuss it with my vet , but I am pritty sure that is were some
Of marge's problems originated ,
If I am not mistaken mold spors can cause , not only breathing problems
But all manner of other problems including ring worm

Mould is the worst thing to find in hay. Thankfully i've only experienced it once and realised before I even gave it to the pigs.
