OK. So, Garry and Minty are now about 20 weeks old (born around 25th August). :) They've always lived together and I've had them since they were 12 weeks old. We've had the chattering, rumbling and bum shaking. Then we added almost constant bum sniffing from Minty to Garry. Now though, Minty has taken to mounting Garry and is what can only be described as 'dry-humping' him. 98) Delightful pig. I'm telling you, it's like a blur... ::) There's no retaliation from Garry (he normally has a look of 'what's happening?' on his little face...) so no risk of fighting at the moment. But what should I expect? Is it a teenage thing? Will Minty grow out of it? Dear Lord, why were they not girls?! :smitten: :smitten:

they usually grow out of it, as its usually a dominance thing.

but my piggy munchie does it to bob all the time, and seems to enjoy it :o, and i think he is either gay or an extremely sexually active piggy ;D ;D

This is usual around their age....just doubley make sure they are both male toput your mind at rest, and make sure they have lots of space and hidey holes/foodbowls etc to make sure they dont do what a lot of boys seem to be doing around here lately and fall out! ::) xx0

Oh gosh another lots of boars going thru the teenage years ::) ::)

Have you checked out Suzie's Barmy4Boars site? it's got fab ideas for boars O0

I agree with Lez and PP they usually grow out of it and def have 2 of everything O0 I found sometimes putting away from each other for a couple of hours helped too.... give them different timed play time and see if that helps... :-\ :-\ :-\ other than that i know quite a few have done the bath and then the play time together in a neutral area and that's worked a treat. Good luck love, unfortunately i was unable to keep my two boys together but did have them in a divided cage, where they spent most of the day wedged up beside the divider chatting away merrily ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think they should be OK...they have a big cage with three different food bowls and the hay rack so there is rarely arguing over that! They only have one house at the moment, but I'm investing in a tube soon although I don't think that is a problem either and they are quite happy sharing. I'd just cleaned them out the other day and they were in the cage without anything else in it and all of a sudden, Minty just decided to mount Garry! I looked at the pair of them and Minty stared back at me with a face that said 'what?'...and Garry just seemed to have a Father Dougal expression...weird pair! Took Garry out for a while... Think is, he kept doing it when I'd put Garry back in. They are both male - they have all the right bits! Strange pigs, but I love them to bits! :smitten:

LOL my 3 boars that are brothers are at it all the time ::) ::) when I was in the shed the other day Flash was chasing Pumpkin around and around the bridge Blaze was sat on top out of the way lol oh the joys of the teenage months ::) ::) ::)
