Ok well i have the chance to move my guinea pigs in the shed for thw winter startign from october 2009.

My pigs live outside at the moment 7 of them have lived ooutside seince there was born my oldest 2 have lived outside seince beenin 6 weeks old and the other 2 since there was 3 months old

Ok so the shed is a one of them tringle roof ones with no windows. So if there do move in to the shed i will need to sort some find of lights out for them as when the door is shut it will be dark. But I am hoping to be able to have the door open when its not raining and windy etc.

So any ideas on getting light in to the shed - do there do light with batties in? any ideas

my other warrie is that at the moment my guinea pigs are outside my back door, when i open the back door i can see all the guinea pigs and there can see me etc my guinea pigs are very nosey and like to watch what your doing when your outside .When in a shed there wont be able to do this.

Being in the shed would be very secluded but better for their health as it is far too cold to leave them out all winter. There are quite a few of different battery powered lights you can get. Look in places like wilkinsons and instore. There are some you can press to come on and press again when you want to go off which are inexpensive but you may want to invest in rechargable batteries and a battery charger as if using in the daytime the batteries would run out quite quickly!

Yeah i know it will be secluded thats my warry my guiena pigs like to see that going on.

Mine have been frine in outside in winter ny oldest 2 are 3 now and there have lived out side from beoing 6 weeks old the only time there been to vet is for nail cutting there havent had an illness yet

I can allways just use shed for store the guineasthigns like hay dry food outside toys blackets etc
