My mom is allergic to my guinea pigs but she’s not making me get rid of them. Instead, we’re going to move them to an outdoor barn this spring, hopefully. When the time does come to move them, how can I make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible? I also plan on building bigger cages and reintroducing my single guinea pig into the pair of guinea pigs. They were all together when they were adopted, but since the cage was small they fought. They are all sisters. So I guess is there any tips to bond guinea pigs when they are all getting moved to a new cage as well?

I forgot to mention we generally have cold winters and hot summers.

You can move some of their original bedding into their new cage as that way the smells are still familiar and if can make it easier for them to settle.

Guinea pigs need to be bonded on neutral territory, so as they are moving to a new cage in a new area then that will be your neutral territory. You can therefore, in theory, put all of them in the new cage together for the bonding and leave them there. However, you do need to be aware that their fighting may not necessarily have been down to too small a cage (although lack of space contributes to fall outs), and it may simply be that they don’t like each other. This means that they may still not be able to live together once they move out. Generally once piggies fall out, there is little you can do to change their minds. Therefore still requiring multiple cages in the new barn area.
