I can feel a lump under my piggies chin. It's like a malteser. It moves around. Anyone had this happen before and what was it?

Hello, I have a guinea pig pretty much the same only his lump is more round to the side. I had him checked and it's come back as a hair molecule growth and is having it removed Wednesday. I'd defently suggest you take piggy to the vets to be checked. Hope all is ok!

A vet trip is required for the lump to be checked out. It is quite likely to be an abscess or a cyst.

I agree with @Dindypig . All lumps should be checked by a vet. Not all will be harmful but one can't tell until they've been assessed. One of my boys has a lump just under the skin on his side & that turned out to be a harmless sebaceous cyst. Yours may be the same but really need a vet to diagnose it.

Please have it checked out by your vet. It can be a number of things, like an abscess or a cyst, but especially with lumps we cannot diagnose via the internet!

My piggy is under a year old. Once you've been to the vets please let us know how it went! Hope all goes ok
