My pigs have been living inside in my utility room but today they have spent the day in their run and are now in an outside hutch which I thought I might leave them in over the summer. I have just been out to cover them up but am now worrying they might not be warm enough as they are obviously used to being inside. I have filled their bed with hay and they have a blanket and tarpaulin over the hutch. I have a snuggle safe heat pad and I'm wondering if I should put that in with them too. If I do should I put it under the hay and newspaper (the paper is lining the bottom of the hutch)?
