Hello fellow piggy owners!

Myself and my husband are being moved to Germany for 3 years for work reasons. We have an 8 year old Abysinian guinea called Hercules and we are moving him with us.

We are driving from the UK to Munich. I have already started the plans for the Export Health Certificate and have had him microchipped as per the rules. The staff at the Eurotunnel have told me I do not need to check him into the pet area but declare him instead.

Is there anything else I am missing to drive him through the Eurotunnel? Thanks!

Sounds an exciting move, hope all goes well.
Glad your piggies are can take your piggy with you.

May I suggest you change your location to something more general than a postcode.
It’s a safety matter trying to ensure no one’s address is identifiable.
Welcome to the forum

How wonderful that he can come too. Hope the journey goes well.

Hi all.

Thank you for the welcome messages. I am very used to travelling him around the UK, I just need to check the legal side of things rather than comfort if anyone can offer advice until Eurotunnel get back to me on Monday. Thanks!

Sorry, we haven't had many people travelling with their piggies to Europe or otherwise abroad since Brexit.

Best wait for Eurotunnel to come back to you.
