The old hiding in the hay thing hey? Mine do it all the time especially after a hutch clean talking of which I have that delightful job to do today. You can tell I don't really want to do it. I am doing research .... honest I am ..... on how to look after my piggies!

I had to do the cleaning out this morning because between my kidneys and my back I haven't been physically able for a while. It wasn't pleasant but it had already been too long...though hilariously the actual bedding (Carefresh) was mostly okay, somehow. Maybe using a pack per cage instead of one between three both was a great idea after all - so much more to chuck out in the end though. The hay was the worst part.

Blitzen christened the newly replaced bedding by immediately leaving a pile of poops in the corner. Sigh.

Oh well mustn't procrastinate any more. Just got to go out there and clean out that hutch! It'll still be there to do otherwise. :))

I've got them on woodshavings this time around. I'm not really very happy about this because of Comet's history with his lungs but I couldn't get any Carefresh from anywhere :/ Hopefully it'll not be for much longer than a week. And on the bright side, a pack of shavings cost £5 and I only need two packs for the whole thing.

Yay! :yahoo: A clean hutch! :D

Woodshavings sounds good but they don't half get like ....... EVERYWHERE!:yikes:. Try carefresh online. I ordered some and it was here within 2 days.

I'll need to wait til next week now, but it's not a huge problem, I still have two lots of the woodshavings left. And no they haven't, yet, anyway. The shavings don't come up high enough on the canvas bottom of the Midwest (the sides on it are about 3 inches high) so they'd have to be kicking it everywhere, and they have the layer of hay on top of that.

Now, if they could stop spilling the hay onto the carpet...

It's the burrowing beauty. I love how they enjoy a clean cage and then christen it!

Awwww  he wont be moving till he has ate it all!
