Hello,

This is a video of my piggie, Mr Darcy, chirping the other night. Excuse the video being a bit dark, but you can hear him clearly chirping like a bird! I still don't know what this means, as no one as a solid explanation for it!

Just click the link if you want to watch/hear.

Aww that's a good video, he doesn't seem frightened or anything does he, I don't know why they do it one of mine does it they don't seem to have a pattern of doing it either do they.

If mine chirp I have never heard them (They live in a shed) - It doesn't really sound like a sound that a frightened animal would do... Maybe one day there will be a explanation... My Darcy... Handsome name for a gorgeous boy!

Lovely video! I've got one repeat chirper at the moment, but before that, there was only one incident - and that one quite freaked me out! Chirping is quite rare.

I heard it was rare, I'm just happy to capture it on my phone! He did it for 15 minutes and it was so noisy! lol :)

Wow! Well done for capturing it, we have heard chirping a few times over the years. None of our current piggies are chirpers though. It is an eerie noise

Is this what people refer to as a chirping piggy?

My Hope used to do that chirping noise. It was usually at full blast volume and would wake the whole house up when she did it in the night. When I would go in to see what was going on it was usually because someone had kicked her out of her bed or was blocking the food bowl. When I read about other peoples chirping piggies they mention about their other piggies standing still listening in reverence, but mine would be carrying on with whatever they were doing taking no notice at all!

He certainly chirped for a very long time. Quite haunting noise that. I've never had a chirping piggy myself so it's lovely to hear what that sounds like.
