Mr Fudge Is Coming Home Today! :)

We're going to get Mr Fudge from Camp Nibble soon! I'm so excited. I hope Stella likes him. It'll be nice to see her acting like her old self again, she's been quite quiet since Pluto died (although still making a massive fuss every time the fridge door opens so at least she hasn't lost interest in food!).

They do look very similar! Mr Fudge is home now and in the playpen with Stella. He's a really big boy - very solid. He seems really friendly too. I think it's going ok with the new couple...

I put them in the pen together and they ignored each other at first. Then some rumblestrutting and mounting from Mr Fudge which Stella didn't appreciate. Now they're having a nap. Fingers crossed! (At least the nap has given me a chance to disinfect their cage ready for tonight.)
 
I had that with my husboar Freddie too. Unappreciated mounting and then a period of calm. She made it known that she wasn't keen on his attentions for a few weeks and then it all settled down into harmony and a close bond.
I hope it doesn't take a few weeks for Mr and Mrs Fudge but don't be put off if it does! :)

:) Glad you're pleased with him. I am thinking Golden Agouti but to be honest I am not very good with breeds and colours! But I do enjoy making guesses.
 
:DMr Fudge is a magnificent fellow.:wub: I think Stella is just playing hard to get! :lol: Glad it seems to be going well for them!
 
They had a nap and then just ignored each other for a while. Then Mr Fudge started rumblestrutting again and Stella ignored him so he tried a bit harder. She's not impressed - no fighting/biting but she did threaten to nip (although I don't think she actually nipped him). Definitely playing hard to get! Might be a long one - she's definitely wanting to be top pig!
 
aw, these females never do seem to appreciate the effort that goes into that much romancing! :)) hopefully she will be won over soon :luv: sounds like things are going as they should so far though :)
 
I think she's going to be the dominant one - she just went in for a warning nudge again and he backed down. Then Stella showed her teeth and laid down - Mr Fudge is sitting calmly in the corner. I think he's a bit confused by this bossy woman though!

:)) sounds like how mollie was both times i bonded her. she almost had to be over the top with her sounds and movements just to make sure the point got across! :))

Haha! Yes she certainly feels a need to be heard! She's lying down calmly now - I think the advice she's trying to give to Mr Fudge is "I will tolerate you - just don't annoy me!". We'll see late how long it takes him to get the message!
 
They're getting on ok. It's not love yet but Stella is tolerating him. No scuffles, Mr Fudge is just getting the odd telling off. If they stay this well behaved then I'm going to try them in their cage (freshly disinfected and rearranged) in about an hour.

They seem to be ok. It's not love yet but they're not squabbling. They've been in the cage since about 8 o'clock last night. They didn't want to share the litter tray and hay so I put a second one in and they each slept in their own litter tray. I've taken the second one out this morning and they don't seem to be squabbling over the one that's left. They were both knackered last night after their introduction!
