Focus diy have started selling animal products...They have go some dried food for guineas i think its called Mr Johnstons.( buy one get 1 half price..)has anyone tried it on their guineas....is it any good

When I adopted Jenny & Betty I was given a bag of Mr. Johnson's Supreme Guinea Pig museli and all my other sows took a liking to it. I fed it for quite a while until my new vet pointed out that Chloe was probably bloating so much because of the museli. Since I've stopped feeding it she hasn't been bloated at all and she's much healthier. I'm not sure whether it's the same food that you found in Focus and maybe Chloe just can't digest museli (she's always been on Supa Guinea Excel and no problems with that), but just thought I would mention this...

I have tried this food and my piggies like it very much, especially the dried pieces of carrot!

I think it works out quite expensive if you have a lot of piggies to feed.

I saw some today in Focus and think it was £20 for 10kg - which is pretty expensive, as you say, if you've got lots of pigs. 54 at mine at the moment, they're on Golden Guinea which is about £10 for 20kg, and of course lots of hay and veg
