So last night I put Mr Quin, my neutered boar in with the girls for the first time. It was so easy, they get on like a house on fire. He's a little 'naughty' every now and again but they are a fiesty lot and one high pitched wheek warning makes him think twice!

Here are the pictures - enjoy! :))

'Don't care, too busy eating!'

'This is pretty good, beats sitting in a cage by myself!'

'I'm tiny compared to the girls....'

AWWWW - Mr Quin is definitely the tomcat that got all the girls! :)):)):))

hehe thanks! Not as well coordinated as yours though! Trust just one to face the wrong way.... :))

Wonderful photos - especially love the one of him wedged in the middle dwarfed by all his ladies!

So glad they all get on so well.

*GASP* Your tort and white Aby looks like my Sway! CUTE!

Mr Quinn looks like a Mac-Daddy with all those ladies!

Ooh, Mr Quin is a very lucky boy! I bet he doesn't know what to do with himself :))

Your piggies are all beautiful, but I have to say that the cream/caramel girl in the corner is just gorgeous x)

Love it... I love male and female pairings... they are so good together :)! x)

It's worked out so well. I had bickering and minor fighting when I introduced my last sow for months - Mr Quin is acting like he's always been there! The girls are very relaxed and they even share a litter tray with him - they've never done that with eachother before.

I would incourage anyone that is thinking about it to do it..... so many lonely boars could be in the lap of luxury like Mr Q! :))

That's Hebe pig :)). I have to admit she is kind of our favourite (don't tell the others!). She had such a rough little life.

No one wanted her because she has red eyes, she has a fused fractured front leg from an accident at birth that was never treated. She doesn't limp but she has a little patch of missing hair where the side of her 'ankle' rubs on the floor and her leg is bent.
She has a strange gait, my partner calls it her 'sexy walk'!

Here's a few more of Hebe pig:

I do agree, but I couldn't possibly put my Fred though an opp! It's easier when your not doing it and they are already done, hence my 2 spayed girls they had already been done before I knew them! I'm a big wuss and worry way to much about GA etc. I do wonder though if I didn't find my girls would I have finally got the courage to get him the snip... now theres a question and a half! I really don't know :(!

I must say, if I get any pairings in the future it will be rescue boys/girl pairings I just love them. My intro with my piggies was so uninteresting in fact Fred hid under the tiolet and I had to nudge him over to the girls. He can be a pest but the girls soon put him in his place!

They can also be good for acting as peace maker, although in our household it is generally Fred upsetting the household Brrrrrr.......

I'm so glad Mr Quinn has fitted right at home, and he will be the cat that got the cream ;), I'm sure he's in heaven.... IT is so lovely to see!

It never really bothered me. I trust my vets 100% and our practice is lucky enough to have a leading guinea pig expert. Mr Q sailed through it, no probs at all. Although I have heard horror stories and I totally get where your coming from.

I'm definately sticking to a neutered boar with several girls now. It amazing to see.

I went to feed them all this morning and he was right at the front of the cage surrounded by his women! :))

Haha, you never know! She was an unwanted pig from a home in Old Trafford. I do wonder. Pandora looks the spit of your Ripple - she's got a right little attitude , has yours?
How are the baby pigs getting on? All sparkly and clean still?
