Hi everyone. Hope you and your piggies are all well. Yesterday we lost the last of our crew, Mrs. Bumble. She was 5 and 7 months of age when she passed. Mrs Bumble lived in our kitchen with her house mates Gerty or Gerty google as we called her and the rather crazy Stella. Gert passed a year ago and Stella just 6 months later. So Mrs. Bumble was on her own although she didn't seem to mind, We wondered if that had anything to do with Stella jumping on top of them! Mrs. Bumble never saw a vet and was never poorly which was wonderful. One more thing about her and this happened on two occasions only she madeIMG_1665.webp IMG_1666.webp IMG_1667.webp IMG_1668.webp IMG_1669.webp that really unusual chirping sound. When it happened for the first time we didn't know what it was having never heard anything like it before, she made the sound once more and never again. We used to say to her, Mrs. Bumble, squawk like a budgie, she never did. We miss them all but miss Mrs. Bumble so much as she was the last of our crew. As a family we got our first GP on 10/07/97 and lost Mrs. B on 10/07/17 how strange. Thanks.

Hello everyone. Thank you so much for your kind comments and thoughts, it means so much to us. Our house is so different as this is the first time in 20 years without a piggie. My wife went shopping today and didn't buy GP food, all so strange. So now to try to be positive and to move onwards and upwards.
We gave our best to Stella, Gert and Mrs. Bumble as with our other GP's and that's what is so brilliant about the guinea pig forum and its members, dedicated caring passionate and enthusiastic lovers of guinea pigs and animals.
Regarding the bird chirping sound that some piggies can make, we had never heard of it let alone listened to a piggie making that sound until Mrs. Bumble did it twice, it is unbelievable so like a bird. If you go on google and type, Guinea Pig making a chirping noise there are some short clips that I am sure you will find incredible.
Our thoughts are with all of you who have lost their beloved piglets.
Many thanks to all.
