Well, it was like green, a very dakr green, and her mouth smells a bit like old vegetables, and, also, she has a black line on the back of her top teeth.
Are the veggies u are giving her in date? It sounds like bits of veggie getting stuck in her teeth and they are going of maybe? Id say to take her to the vets just to be sure.
Hope I've helped x
Please get a good experienced vet to check her teeth. The black line could indicate she has cracked the front teeth. This is common if a piggy falls or jumps from a height. The teeth will regrow properly but infection needs to be avoided. If they are cracked it can also be very painful as you can imagine so needs treated. Piggies hide pain well so even if she appears ok she may be uncomfortable.
Guinea pigs commonly have some food left in their mouth, one of mine always does when I take him for dental checks, but it should not be going 'off' or else it could cause illness. Unfortunately dental problems are becoming common in piggies and if she is unable to chew and swallow properly then she may end up with more uneaten food in her mouth. Untreated dental problems can lead to illness, abcesses and starvation if not dealt with promptly. It is not possible for an owner to easily view the back (molar) teeth without specialist equipment so an experienced vet needs to check these. If they overgrow they can trap the tongue or damage the cheeks leading to infections and difficulty eating. Is her weight stable?
