I feed my guinea pig on hay pellets and veggies but treats in my area have literally gone up so much. A £5 bag of flaked peas now cost £10 and I think it's ridiculous and refuse to pay it! In another shop near me they sell a 2kg bag of muesli for £1 and I woundered if I could sort of pick some bits out now and again as treats ? Would that work or do I need to spend another £10?!?!

I brought some muesli for my piggies to eat as a treat. I just give them a small bowl once a week and just put all of the food in and let them pick out the bits they like and then just chuck out the bits that they don't eat. It makes your life easier than picking out bits for them.

I would say that as long as the muesli doesn't contain anything awful for piggies (sugar, colours, dairy, etc) then it would be fine to use as a treat.
Or have you considered an online order from somewhere like Zooplus? You could get a load of stuff so you only need to order every few months, and I find their prices are pretty good.

I give my two some muesli occasionally, like once a month and about a tablespoon. The stuff I bought had sunflower seeds in and dried corn and orange bits so I sat there for two hours one night while my partner watched one of his Kung Fu movies picking out all of the above and various sharp bits. He thought I was nuts but they eat every morsel. They prefer their pellets though so it really is just a treat for them.
