My mum stepped on my guinea pigs foot about 30 mins ago and she said he bled a little. I then came downstairs to check his feet but I couldn't really see much other than a slight redness on one of his right toes. My mum said he limped at first but now he's just acting like he always did - curious and hungry. He seems to be running around normally now and I don't see any sign of blood which I think he cleaned up himself. Should I take him to the vet or would he get better by himself? (I'm assuming there's a slight swelling but didn't see anything else).

Oh and we let our guinea pigs out in the garden when we're out there - thats how she stepped on his foot.

Are they walking okay now? Putting weight on it?

Yes it looks like hes walking normally, i’ll keep checking on him regularly though.

Hi! Take a deep breath - nothing is badly broken by the sound of it. Just keep a casual eye on but it doesn't look like a major problem. See a vet if there are signs of infection. If in doubt, please compare his foot with the other. Toes usually look more puffy when you look at them closely for the first time.
