'The snuggle sack makes an excellent landing pad when jumping off the cardboard house because as you know that's far more interesting than lying in it!'

(Mummy almost caught me on film jumping off my cardboard house hehee - Rohan)

Later on ...

'But on second thoughts it's not too bad mummy, I think I'll just get cozy and have a siesta.'

Hehee thanks, I've added a video of them playing :D

Mummy is quite proud of her first attempt at making a snuggle sack, I just pray that it holds together in the wash LOL.

Oh that is just too cute! "Mummy did get me on film destroying my cardboard house" - Rohan :lol!:
Your first snuggle sack! I thought with your creative skills you'd be onto your hundredth one by now! I bought myself a sewing machine in the Boxing Day sales. I've nearly mastered sewing in a straight line! Next step, making a fleece cage liner!

Unfortunately I've not had as much time as I'd have liked to practice my sewing. I spend whatever time I do have making new clay or needle felted stuff for my shop. However, I am determined to get more sewing practice in then I can start selling more sewn goods. :D

Cage liners wow, you'll have to share some pics when you've made it :D

I'm hoping to have it done by Thursday week. Heading home for a week with the family (and Christmas finally!) So I want their bedroom "renovated" before the pigsitter arrives! It's so hard to get hold of pretty fleece here :(

@Drezella just out of interest, I notice you have puppy pads in the piggies cage. Do they not chew them? I'd love to have a puppy pad in the section mine do the most wees but I put puppy pads on mine and partners bed of an evening and have cuddles before bed but have to have eyes like a hawk as they try to eat them

I know the feeling, I think it's probably better to buy an actual fleece blanket and then cut it down to size. You'd have a lot more choice then :)

Well done on making a snuggle sack and oh boy, what an adorable photo of the boys on the house and inside it.

Hehee thanks. I just caught them at the right moment. :)

No they are really good, they don't chew on them, nor do they chew their teddy. They've had the occasional chew on their strawberry bed and the bottom of the correx ramp, (and Grandma's chair leg during floor time) but they know that mummy makes a fuss if they do this, so they quickly stop once I tell them. They usual enjoy chewing on their logs and willow toys and spend a lot of time grazing on their hay or sleeping lol, so I don't think they've got the energy for chewing the pads after all that. :))

You could always try putting pads underneath the fleece if they have favourite toilet spots. I have pads underneath the fleece and a towel underneath that. This helps to keeps smells and dampness to a minimum. I just use the pads on top of the fleece instead of potty pads were they like to wee the most, but I might invest in some potty pads in the future.

:)) :)) Ha ha! Loving the on the roof photo! Does he often go up there?

great snuggle sack

Here are a few more videos of them enjoying their house for your viewing pleasure :)

@Drezella how do you make those huts? I've had my piggies since roughly August/September but I am still a bit of a noob. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated but please give advice on my first thread please

Hi,

I didn't make the cardboard hay house, I bought that from pets at home. However, I did make the snuggle sack. I just searched for 'How to make a snuggle sack' on YouTube and found a few good videos showing you how to make them. It's quite easy to do once you've got the hang of it. I can send you the video link if you link to the YouTube video that I watched when I'm on my PC later :)
