Mummy's tea smells too good!

Has anyone ever had a guinea pig who is partial to a cup of tea? I was having a nice cuppa last night with some piggie cuddles with all 3. Hope and Patch weren't interested, but Gizmo wouldn't leave me or my cup alone! He kept trying to stick his head in to the cup and he lapped up a couple of sips, I though that would have put him off, how wrong was I?

I am glad I use soya milk instead of dairy milk, but I am concerned as the caffeine content can't be good for him!

It was a first for me to have my tea snaffled by a guinea pig!
 
No but I have heard of both cats and dogs loving tea, my sisters dog loves a lager and my friends cat adores Becks lager. On two occassions he drank so much he ended up slaughtered! He sticks his head in the glass and goes for it

All our dogs have loved tea, Fred used to beg for it! I have never known a piggle do that though. I left my cup unattended earlier and he was biting the rim and climbing up for more! I just hope that it doesnt do him any harm bless his little soul
 
Never heard of a tea drinking guinea pig. Our cat will always try and stick his head in a cup of black coffee (we don't let him), and the other night Allan dropped a salt & vinegar crisp in his glass of jack daniels and Gis ate the crisp when it had been fished out!
 
Mr tigs has his own cup ha! he has de-daf milky tea ! x

Not a tea drinking guinea ours, but my husband very foolishly put his ham salad sanwiches down next to his chair once and then found Archie our boar helping himself to a bite of lettuce.:))rolleyes
 
I haven't had a tea drinking piggy yet, but my old piggy, Nibbles, absolutely loved human food :)) She tried to steal bread, pasta, ice cream, oatmeal, and cake, and a variety of other things from me! I had to remember to keep her away while eating! :))

They have a habit for liking everything they shouldn't! Hope likes to try and pinch the cheese out of a sandwich, Alphonse used to have Jelly Beans off me, or he would try and steal energy drink (he got it once and was up most of the night wheeking like crazy, running around and popcorning-so funny). I have to keep my food away from pesky piggies and their want for strange junk food!
 
Yeah, almost all of mine try to steal junk food. Only Willow doesn't, so I let her sit with me while eating. Mine especially seem to like sugary foods too. And Nibbles once tried to get a few spilled drops of beer! They are silly piggies :))
 
My Gladstone used to lick milky coffee off my finger - he'd go crazy for it!

I used to have a house bunny and I had to shut her out of the room if I was eating anything with tomato sauce on as she'd jump into your plate if you weren't quick enough!
 
Haha bless, that's rather cute. Maybe you could get some de- caff, then that way you don't have to worry about the caffeine having an effect.
 
i thought that was a lovely video of your piggy, i didnt think pigs would like tea tbh :{i could see he was thinkin about how to acomplish to drink it all but instead he just sipped it loldrool

Willow likes tea too. We discovered this when she tried to stick her nose in my cup so I put my finger in it and offered it to her (mainly to show her she wouldn't like it) but lo and behold, she did!

I thought Willow was a one off until last night, Marmite shoved her head in my cup (pushing me out of the way I might add!) and took a sip, just like your little guy

I'm glad it's not just my girls with a liking for things they shouldn't! Don't we have some cheeky piggies between the lot of us! :))

Don't we just! Hope likes to try and pinch the cheese out of your butty which can be funny. They are such cheeky creatures, but to be honest, I have a problem of not being able to resist them! Spoilt? DEFINATELY!
