Can my piggies eat mushrooms? Probably a real daft question but first time owning these beautiful animals x

Mushrooms lack any real nutrition for a guinea pig.
They completely lack any vitamin c, phosphorus or oxelates, and contain trace amounts of fat and sugar. I have never fed any to mine but I hear they are safe as long as they are raw and in small amounts but then the question is with them offering pretty much nothing would you want to bother or just feed them some nice pepper or kale instead?

I already give them cucumber, carrots, peppers , apples, spinach, cauliflower leafs. I was just wondering about weather they could eat mushrooms or not . Thanks

:agr: With all that @Squeakz has said. Technically in very small quantities and in raw state they should not do any harm, but given their lack of any beneficial nutritional value to the piggies I wouldn't give them to mine.
Hope this is helpful.

sorry if my post came off as bossy. When it comes to nutrition I always seem to get too mixed up in the science fact of the food values and forget to word it in a more friendly way.

Nothing wrong in a good well- informed response. Thank you for the detailed information.
