hi, my guinea pig Bruce has a lot of mushy poo under his penis coming out of his anal sac. It's not exactly runny but it's very mushy and defiantly not normal. It's a sort of greenish color and has only started today. He had veggies and pellets this morning and everything was normal but then around lunch time I noticed a clump of poo hanging from his bum. I immediately took him out if the cage and cleaned him up and thought the day I have continued cleaning him. I have just been using a baby wipe and cleaning the area and also have took away all veggies and pellets so he's only left with fresh water and hay, but I feel I'm not doing enough. I watched a YouTube video and found more information about the anal sac and realized you have to use a ear bud in the anal sac to clean it. He's around 2 and I've never done this and I'm sure his previous owners wouldn't of either. So what should I do and what do you think is wrong with him? I thought maybe impaction but there dosnt seem to be too much so I'd like your opinion.

I thought I'd also mention he's eating lots of hay and his behavior hasn't changed at all. I'm just about to go weigh him to check his weight is okay and I'll let you guys now abiut that.

He now weight 1196g and has lost 4g in 3 days, nothing serious in guessing

Sometimes Mo gets a bit of poop in his sack and it usually just falls out. It sounds like it was one of the poos that the guinea pig usually eats and so it's possible it was partially chewd when you found it. I wouldn't worry unless it's something you keep noticing

I've cleaned it multiple times today and it keeps returning so i don't think that he's chewed it. Thanks for your reply!

I'd take him off fresh veg for a couple of days to see if it sorts itself out. If not then the vet will be able to give you some medicine to help it out.
