Silly
Junior Guinea Pig
My lovely girl called 'Sammy' died 16.4.2011 after having numerous bladder infections sorted by antibiotics which then affected her kidney. She went downhill within a day and took her straight to the vet when she started to face the corner of her cage me and the vet decided to put her to sleep. He took her to another room as I couldn't bare to watch but explained what he would do. I didn't want to bury her even and stroked her all day until my Husband came home from work and dug the hole for me. He made a cross with her name on it and she has a sunflower statue on her grave. I had her for four and half years and she was the most tame girl. I am very upset even typing this even after all this time. I hope I did what I could for her. I go back and look at what I fed her and was it my fault but I guess she was from my local pet shop not a breeder direct. She was with us when we flooded in Hull, UK in 2007 and had to live with us in a caravan in our back garden while our house was redone. She was with us 3 years ago when we moved. I wish she was one of those guineas who lives for years and years. She went blind 2 years ago which is one of the things can happen to Abyssinian guineas but she was still fine with it. I am not that could with computers so I will get my Daughter to upload a picture of her shortly. This is a tribute to Sammy.
