My Babies Are Mad At Me!

Hi we had to take our 2 girls round to my sisters house yesterday for a few hours while we had some work done on our apartment. When we got them back home they were very stressed and scared which is totally understandable. Fast forward to this morning i go into feed them and clean them. Instead of them running too the side of the cage and going crazy they run away into their pigloos and were too scared to come out even when i put the food in they waited for me too leave before they came out.

I hope I haven't damaged our bond we were doing really well they were still hating being picked up but thats just the way they are like most piggies. I hope they are not scared of me all the time now.

anyway just thought I would get that off my chest.

I expect they are still remembering what happened yesterday and being a bit cautious. I am sure they will soon be running to the side of their cage again.

Know what you mean about them not liking being picked up. Jingle wont even get into a cuddle cup or any kind of tunnel if she thinks that I want to lift her out of the cage! Mistletoe screams the place down at any hint of me coming to pick her up.

Mine aren't keen on the picking up bit but will come and sniff my hand which is progress! Only had Velvet and Betsy 15 months and the others 14 months! (surprise shop litter - thanks P@H!) They all love cuddles though!

Mine climb all over me both in their cage and at floor time, they let me pat them, sniff and eat out of my hand, but try to pick them up with my hand and you'd think I was trying to murder them.

lol this is an old thread but my piggies are mad st me right now . i had to trick them into going in their travel cage and one of them won’t even take food from me or look st me ! ugh piggies
