I had such a heartwarming moment last night.
My parents came round for dinner and as they were still here at piggy cuddle and bedtime we brought Toby and Barney in from their run for sofa cuddles. Toby always settles down and goes to sleep on my hubby's squishy tummy and I sit with Barney on the sofa. Barney needs to be on the sofa because he can cope with 10mins cuddles then he needs a bit of independence and a puppy pad in the corner for wee wee's.
Anyways - he was sat in his puppy-padded corner on the sofa and I popped into the kitchen. My mum went to sit on the floor by the sofa to stroke him and he scarpered - tried to leg it over the arm of the sofa to escape. He doesn't really know my mum and he was scared. I came straight back on a rescue mission and as soon as I got close and spoke to him he turned round, came back to his corner and settled down while allowing me to stroke him with no probs.
It was so lovely because I realised that they really do know who I am and clearly trust me. I guess that means I must be doing a good job!
