my babies pigs have been biting there cage

will my baby guinea pigs there about 4months old now have been bitting they cadge there bit what gose in to the bedroom

when my rabbits was in that cage there did bit some off to make the whole biger to get through but now it gose down than a little half a cricle than dow nagain and its at there hight too

should i be warried

why are there biting it and it s wood what there bitting
 
I don't see the problem in that :) It wears their teeth down to so good! ;)

Titch and Jovi also do that quite often, same with Guinea. I think they like the taste too ;D

My sows do not do it though :)
 
ea but of there keep on biting there wont have a bedroom it ill b all one bit

do you think i should get something for them to chew on ?
 
something to chew on sounds good as they love to gnaw :)

Try loo roll tubes, small boxes (cardboard) and willow sticks :)
 
georgys the same, he found edges of the hutch, and made a meal out of them! so now, i gave I'm a little log cabin from a pet store that he can eat, and he eats that, and plays on it, jumps, and sleeps inside it!
 
One of mine loves chewing his cage and the lovely wooden seasaw I bought them for christmas-dunno how long it's gonna last! :)
 
Mine do it EVERY DAY! and they love it, i dont really worry too much, they do chew there williow sticks but they do love their wood. lol they do it most in their hutches they dont chew the cages much. x
 
mine chew their bars especailly galaxy when food is rattled , but they all do it now and again as already said wood is fine as it will keep their teeth trim

They eat their plastci cage too! Dont think cardboard can do too much harm, prob less then plastic anyway. ;D
