Dear all,

I just want to share with you my story about my baby, Big BB, who sadly passed away yesterday. BB is 4 1/2 years old and was diagnosed with ovarian cysts. She was admitted yesterday and both the surgery and recovery took longer than expected. As the anesthetic slowly wore off, she opened her eyes, took a big gasp of air, which caused her lungs to collapse and at the end, she didn't make it.

I am living in extreme guilt as I should have chosen hormone injection treatment for her instead. I didn't do the research and very judgemental, believing surgery would be successful as her cage mate has had it done successfully in the past. I wish for everyone here not to follow the same mistake as I had made as I do not wish for anyone to be suffering from this unbearable pain that I'm going through.

I am so sorry BB - I miss you so, so much...

i'm so sorry for your loss. you should not blame yourself - you did what you thought was best for her. sometimes things just simply do not work out as we would hope. RIP little one, sleep tight

So sorry to hear of your loss.
Please don't feel bad. If you'd already had a piggy that had a good outcome from the surgery it's only normal that you'd opt for it again. How do you know the other course of treatment would have proved to be any better? I'm sure your vet would have said if it was any better in the long term.
Sympathy and hugs for you x
RIP little piggy x
